Samsung Bites Into a Wormy Apple

It seems Samsung bit into a wormy apple when it released the Galaxy S, Nexus S, and Epic 4G models, and Galaxy Tab tablet.

According to the Wall Street Journal, a very grumpy Apple, Inc. has filed a 38 page lawsuit, stating: "Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple's technology, user interface, and innovative style in these infringing products." Apple spokeswoman Kristin Huguet stated "This kind of blatant copying is wrong." An un-named Samsung spokesperson returned a vague comment, not even addressing the issue at hand: "Samsung's development of core technologies and strengthening our intellectual property portfolio are keys to our continued success", while another Samsung spokesman, Kim Titus, stated in a USA Today article: "Samsung will respond actively to this legal action taken against us through appropriate legal measures to protect our intellectual property".

This is just another incident in a long string of at least five other well known legal tussles involving Apple, Inc. v.s. other tech companies, such as HTC Corp, Motorola Holdings, Inc., Amazon.com, Inc., Nokia Corp, and Eastman Kodak, Co. These lawsuits are most likely Apple's way of keeping the competition busy and slowing them down a few steps.

Sit back and enjoy the show, just don't upset the apple cart!
